Teething is a Mother.

I think as mothers, we can all agree, teething is a mother! Watching our little humans in pain is the absolute worst. Now with my second child teething, I have a pretty good grasp on what helps the most. I have tried out many, many products and I am here to share with you our favorites!

1. Amber teething necklace
We purchased ours from a local shop in town because my little man was in so much pain and I wanted to get it on him NOW, but the beautiful necklace pictured above is an ombre baltic amber necklace from www.balticmermaid.com. We will also be purchasing this so I have two on hand. (They're that amazing!)
Baltic Amber is found in the Baltic Sea. What makes it so effective is its high content of succinic acid. Succinic acid is a natural occurring component of Amber and can be as high as 8% in the amber found in the Baltic region. Succinic acid is a natural pain reliever, central nervous system calmer and an anti-inflammatory.

2. Orajel Naturals Teething Gel

We had previously used Highlands teething Tablets and was recently informed that there is a "not so safe" ingredient in there by our doctor so we have stayed away from those! We got the okay on the natural Orajel and use it when the teething toys seem to be no help. You can purchase this this at your local Toys r us, Target, Amazon, etc.

3.  Nuby Ice Bites
I was never a big fan of the frozen teething toys. None of them ever seemed to fit right or stay frozen long enough. I recently purchased these Nuby Ice Bites and LOVE them. The fact that there is three of them makes it easy to switch out one to the other when one melts down. But my favorite part is the way it fits in their mouth. Both my boys started teething early so most teethers were too big for their mouths but this fits perfectly. it also has ridges to sooth the pain and a handle so they can hold it as well. A++ in my book, and Roman's too! I purchased ours from Babies R us. But you can purchase this and more at www.nuby.com and follow their Instagram at @nubyusa.

4. Sophie the Giraffe

Sophie is made of 100% natural rubber and food paint. It is BPA and phthalate-free, which makes it safe for your teething baby. She squeaks when you squeeze her and the unique design is stimulating for your little ones senses. You can purchase Sophie at Target, Babies R Us and Amazon.

5. Chewbeads
Chewbeads are made of 100% silicone. It is a soft and flexible design for babies to tug and chew on. We purchased the Carseat and stroller Chewbead (pictured above), which are also perfect to hang on play gyms! We are either on the go, or on the ground and this teether is perfect! You can find this and the rest of their products at www.chewbeads.com and follow their Instagram at @chewbeads.

6.  "Sassy" Teething nets
These were Benjamin's favorite. We filled them with frozen pre cut mangos from Trader Joe's and he would suck on them all day long! We were told to wait until they are four months to give them that so we haven't tried this with Roman yet. But because of the sweet flavor and the cold freezing their gums, it is the perfect combination. You can also purchase these from your local Babies R Us, Target or Amazon.

7. Nuby teethe-ease
Nuby teethe-ease is a soft silicone teether with bristles. This was Benjamin's favorite on the go teether and is now one of Roman's. It is light weight, easy to grip, BPA free and comes in a hygienic carrying case.

8. Frozen washcloth
These are Aden + Anais found via Amazon ( but of course you can use any!) Just wet the washcloth and stick in the freezer to cool down. Don't leave it in too long or it will freeze too hard, you want it to still be flexible so they can gnaw on it!

Hope this helps all those pretty little babes out there, cause dang teething is a mother!
