If it isn't your passion

I feel like lately I have seen such an abundance of repeated "hobbies" and "passions." When someone see's another person succeed with a project, hobby, or business they go straight for that idea as well. I think it is absolutely amazing having an inspiration and someone that you admire that might push you to do what you love. But I have seen so many of the same interests just being passed around until they are no longer interested in it. For example blogging. When you blog, your a blogger, you write everyday and publish when you find the perfection within it. You ARE a blogger. You go to blogging conventions, you focus your time and energy on blogging. I am not a blogger, I am a writer. I have a deep, intense desire and love to write. From start to finish. To have powerful words and to see my inner depth on paper right in front of me. I am a writer.
Another one I've really noticed is a business. Especially on instagram, i have seen so many people take off with a clothing line because that is what is trending and most popular right now. Like I said,  I think it is great if they find inspiration in it but if that is not your passion, why do it? Why put so much money into a project that isn't what you want to do with your life? and now, Instagram has taken off with clothing companies and brand reps. and of course they are looking for someone that takes good quality photos and a good photographer behind it. If you do not have a passion for photography, don't go buy a thousand dollar camera because you see these great photos winning contests on instagram. Instagram is nothing but social media connecting and sharing bits of your life.
Social media does not make you who you are. It does not teach you how to find your passion or instruct you on how to use your new devices. It will not last forever and before you know it there will be a bigger and better social media with bigger and better ideas. Take and find inspiration from all these beautiful souls and energy you see but don't waste your time trying to fit in. Find a hobby that is your hobby, your interest and your passion. Because if you do not have a deep desire,  passion and love for it, it probably won't succeed. Be the leader, be the change but most of all, be you.
