So this christmas I was on the hunt to make some amazing gifts! I, of course, do love shopping, but what expresses more love than making it yourself? Since becoming a mom, a new found obsessed I have is SUGAR SCRUB! It's so pampering, yet so simple. So I figured I could make this for my loved ones this Christmas.
With only a few simple ingredients, here's what you'll need:
1. Granulated sugar
2. Baby oil
3. Peppermint pure-Castile soap
4. Red sprinkles
You can always sub the pure-Castile soap for a regular hand soap and add peppermint oil. But I have personally used this soap for years and love it.
The ingredients are as followed:
1. 2 2/3cups of sugar
2. 2/3 cup of soap
3. 1/2 cup of baby oil
4. Mix in a few dashes of red sprinkles
And mix!
The more sugar you add, the fluffier it gets. And the more soap you add, the more scent it gets. So you add ingredients as you please, to get your perfect consistency.
And viola! You're done.
The next step is packaging:
I got two four packs of 8oz mason jars from target, chalkboard paint and pens to address the gift with, ribbon and a plastic candy cane ornament to wrap it up, and mini sephora nail polishes and hand lotion to add to each scrub.
You can find mini sized lotions at target and a 10 pack of elf nail polishes for only $10 at target as well. You can find candy canes and ribbon at the dollar store and really dress it up with anything! Be creative and have fun!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
